The organization provides students with a wide variety of opportunities to set themselves apart. The chapter has monthly chapter meetings open to all students with an interest in information technology. These meetings host leading IT organizations and guest speakers from a variety of IT disciplines.

The chapter also participates in student conferences throughout the region and nationally. Each of these conferences offers a variety of IT competition events including Systems Analysis & Design, Database Design, Mobile Applications Development, Network Design, Microsoft Office, Security and more. In addition to hosting community service events, IT information sessions, social events and participating in various university events, the Texas State chapter of AITP also hosts an annual High School IT Symposium.
